Description
Saber-toothed tigers had almost comically profuse bites: These felines could open their jaws at a snake-worthy 120-degree angle, or about twice the width of a modern lion (or a gaping domestic cat). Paradoxically, however, the different species of Smilodon did not chew their prey with much force, as they had to protect their precious fangs from accidental breakage!

The modern unicorn is depicted as a white horse with a long spiraling gold or white horn emerging from its forehead. This has not always been the case. In the Middle Ages, the unicorn was considered the size of a donkey or goat. It was white, but had the head of a deer, the body of a horse, the tail of a lion, the beard of a goat, and cloven hooves. It was a symbol of purity and fidelity and was thought to be indomitable.

Despite the cat's unbeatable night vision, a cat's daytime vision isn't actually that different from a human's! This makes cats more nocturnal hunters looking for small rodents and birds. The average domestic cat sleeps about 18 hours a day and spends most of its waking hours foraging for food. Despite feral cats being solitary animals, the domestic cat is known to enjoy the attention of humans and other animals and often even gets along well with some dogs.
