Schleich - pagina 7

The unicorn mare Peach is aptly named: Her coat has a delicate peach tone from head to toe. schleich® fans voted for this colour. A good choice, because it is reminiscent of the magical peach garden of BAYALA®. That is where the mare once discovered a sweet secret. Could this be referring to her little unicorn foal Iris? She has a beautiful tattoo on her side as a reminder. When asked about the exact meaning of the tattoo, Peach looks patiently with her black eyes and tilts her head charmingly to the side. In the peach garden, the trees are said to bear golden fruit, but Peach reveals nothing. Like true friends, she can keep a secret to herself!

With lions, it is almost exclusively the females that go hunting.

A screech in the sky over ELDRADOR® announces his arrival from a distance: The Jungle Bird of Prey circles there. He wants to be heard, because he guards the Jungle World from above. Nothing goes unnoticed by his sharp eyes. He immediately detects intruders. Anyone who doesn't flee in fear at his screech, he pounces on from the air at the speed of an arrow. With its powerful claws, it loves to grab intruders by the head and render them helpless. It is best not to attempt to enter prohibited territory at all.

The sloth spends almost its entire life in the trees of tropical rainforests. Its curved claws give it a firm grip on the branches of the trees. Since it always hangs from the branches upside down, the sloth’s fur grows from its belly towards its back, instead of growing from its back or head. This allows rainwater to drain away better.

The Scarlet Macaw is known for its magnificent plumage that glows in bright colours. It is not only beautiful but it is also very noticeable. In its home, the rain forest, however, he just blends in with the green leaves and colourful fruits. Its favourite foods include not only fruits but also Brazil nuts, of which it breaks the hard shell easily with its beak. You can often see Scarlet Macaws how they lick clay on riverbanks. The clay renders toxins in unripe fruit harmless and for the macaw it works as a home remedy for stomach aches.

Who will claim victory here? The red Fire Dinosaur, with its flaming lizard comb and menacing yellow eyes? Or the Jungle Lizard, with its green back armour made of lianas and its two fearsome heads? Both warriors are fighting to the bitter end. Its terrifying roar can be heard from miles away. Horrifying! Run for cover before innocent bystanders get caught in the crossfire! Help!

The cute Friesian Foal curiously pricks up its ears and stretches its long neck. What's it discovered that is so interesting? Oh look, a Fire Salamander! Anyone who manages to spot this particularly beautiful amphibian in the forest or along a stream can count themselves lucky. Most of the time it prefers to move around at night. During the day it likes to hide in a hole in the ground or a cave. Thanks to its striking black and yellow patterning, most animals keep their distance. They know it's a warning, letting them know it might be poisonous. This specimen here, however, can be stroked by friends without any danger.

Like blazing firewater? The mane of the Elementa Water Flame Unicorn foal looks exactly like that: Blue like the ocean and sparkling like the waves, the mane also curls like flickering flames. It is obvious who the parents of the Elementa Water Flame Unicorn foal are: Coat, mane and tail are as blue and glittery as the mother’s, the Elementa Water Unicorn mare. But its flickering mane looks just like its father’s, the Elementa Fire Unicorn stallion. The foal dances boldly over the meadow. Who did it inherit its personality from?

How can you tell apart a Paint horse mare and a pinto mare? It's easy to mix them up, because they both have patched coats. Essentially, the only way to tell for sure is to consult the studbook: while pintos are only a color breed, Paint horses are an official breed in their own right.

Bulls have been the symbol of Spain for centuries. They can weigh well over 1,000 kg and are extremely strong. Before a bull attacks, it displays warning behaviours. It shows itself from the side so that it looks bigger, tosses its head back and forth, scrapes the ground with its front hoof and bellows.

The Cosmos unicorn stallion looks impressive with its glittery mane and shimmering star tattoo. The inhabitants of the forest like to come to him, because he is wise and likes to help. As a good friend, he protects everyone he holds dear.

The tiger's stripes are as varied and unique as fingerprints. Even the skin underneath is striped. At first glance, the striking pattern hardly seems to be beneficial. After all, the tiger does not want to be discovered by its prey immediately. When the tiger goes hunting in the twilight, it is however perfectly camouflaged with the stripes. They appear as tall grass moving in the wind or like fleeting shadows. Unlike many other "cats" and big cats the tiger swims well and likes it, too. Therefore, the water is not a safe place for many prey animals.
