Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit

Players will experience the continuation of the tactical role-playing series in Valkyria Chronicles 4, in a unique watercolor graphic style, with new characters and a gripping war story full of hope, momentous triumphs and heartbreaking losses.

The continent of Europe - an alternative timeline - is in the midst of the Second European War between the Atlantic Federation and the autocratic Eastern European imperial alliance. Although the Federation is bravely fighting the forces of the Empire, the ruthless Imperial military machinery threatens to devour them. The operation "Northern Cross" is to avert the threat of defeat by a daring attack on the imperial capital at the last moment. Commander Claude Wallace and his most loyal friends are sent as Squad E to ensure the success of the desperate operation. But not only scary dangers and countless imperial soldiers await the brave heroes, but also the terrible Valkyria and a bloodcurdling realization.

• A Coming-of-Age War History: Valkyria Chronicles 4 plays during the same period of the original Valkyria Chronicles, but focuses the story on completely new main characters. Players take control of young and eager commander Claude Wallace, exceptional engineer and heavy weapon expert Riley Miller, hot-headed Darcsen Raz, ice-cold master sniper Kai Schulen and many more interesting characters. Together they will experience the ruthless reality of the war and will clarify the question of whether the friendship of Squad E can survive any battlefield.

• Newest BLiTZ combat system: As a mix of turn-based strategy, role-playing and 3rd person action game, the BLiTZ combat system returns. In addition, new features like the Grenadier class, offensive and defensive support from battleships, the last-stand ability to win a lost battle at the last moment, bigger battlefields than ever before and much more.

• Watercolor Aesthetics: The visual style of the series has been completely redesigned for the newest generation. Inspired by watercolors, the CANVAS graphics engine combines reality and imagination to create an expressive and colorful world - like an interactive painting.

• The Return of a Legendary Composer: Hitoshi Sakimoto-san, composer of the Valkyria Chronicles series and numerous other emotional game soundtracks, returns to compose the orchestral backing for Valkyria Chronicles 4.

On that day, a jet black dragon descended on the kingdom, and in the blink of an eye it had destroyed everything.
The 100 Years' War...

That was the name given to the ongoing battle between the 17 countries. Already it seemed like a war with no end, but the appearance of a single dragon changed everything. It was a "chimera" created from a dragon with no interest in the humans' war and a combat-minded human. The enemy country Fahftania is creating a weapon that is not yet completed, and they could not succeed without heavy sacrifices.

However, Fahftania joined forces with the giant organization Hellmuth Brigade to sacrifice 1000 of their citizens to create the greatest chimera in history. Having acquired this overwhelming power, no one possessed the ability to defeat Fahftania and the Hellmuth Brigade.

Seth Arden, a scout from the Clausewitz Battalion has discovered that Fahftania is creating chimeras in their aim to take over the world.
Hearing this, Captain Vel Dina is angered by their inhumane experiments.

To put a stop to these terrible, cold-hearted experiments, the Clausewitz Battalion sets off for Fahftania. However, they would soon find that all of Fahftania is under the Hellmuth Brigade thrall...
