Keychron G6 HE

Turn every input into certainty.

A flagship lightweight tri-mode competitive mouse, built for pro players and high-level FPS.

Keychron G6 HE in Classic White, frosted Lavender, and Classic Black

What do the world's best players actually use?

Before designing the G6 HE, we looked at the mice top players already use and at what those mice have in common.

Light. Precise tracking. Fast response. Reliable operation. Across the competitive scene, pro-trusted mice converge on the same traits.

The G6 HE was built to clear that bar first. Where it differs is weight, switch feel and how the battery works.

The standard for a top competitive mouse

Six criteria define what a competitive mouse has to get right, from grip and tracking to wireless stability and long-term consistency. Together they form one input chain.

01 · Control

Effortless control

A shape and weight you never have to force.

02 · Clicks

Crisp, decisive clicks

Clicks you can trust every time.

03 · Tracking

Precise tracking

A flagship sensor that follows every movement exactly.

04 · Latency

Fast response

Low, consistent latency from click to on-screen action.

05 · Connection

Stable connection

Wireless that holds steady against real-world interference.

06 · Durability

Unchanging reliability

Switches and durability that stay consistent over time.

Fingertip grip

Palm floats above the mouse; you steer primarily with your fingertips.

Claw grip

The rear palm makes contact while arched fingers actuate. G6 suits both claw and palm grips.

Palm grip

A wide palm contact area for a more comfortable, stable hold.

There is no single best grip, only the one that fits you. Pick by hand size, what you use the mouse for, and habit. Our guide on how to choose a mouse by hand size, grip and shape goes into detail.

Why 42g matters in one of the lightest wireless gaming mice

A lighter mouse is not automatically more accurate. What it does is cut the inertia you fight during fast flicks, hard stops and small corrections. Our full lightweight gaming mouse lineup is here.

Built-in battery

Every gram counts

42 ±3g
  • Lower movement inertia
  • Fast flicks · hard stops · continuous micro-corrections
  • Reduces the mass your hand must overcome on quick starts and stops
Swappable battery

Built for long, uninterrupted sessions

49 ±3g
  • Lower movement inertia
  • Fast flicks · hard stops · continuous micro-corrections
  • Reduces the mass your hand must overcome
Weighed with the battery on. Both figures are what you actually play with. The shell is a solid unibody with no holes; the weight comes from engineering, not from drilling.

A gaming mouse with a swappable battery that snaps out in three seconds

On the swappable version the battery is a removable module that sits in the mouse. You snap it out, snap a charged one in and keep playing, without a cable or a wait.

Magnetic snap-in / eject

The module attaches and releases magnetically in about three seconds, so a swap mid-session barely interrupts you.

Receiver, charger, and control deck in one

The dock is the 8K receiver. It also charges the spare battery while you play and adds four customizable keys under a status-light cap.

One in play, one on charge

With two modules in rotation you never stop to charge, which matters most in long training blocks and streams.

Magnetic hot-swap battery. A swap takes seconds.

Every movement is decided at the contact surfaces

Spec sheets do not describe how a mouse feels in hand. The coating, feet and cable do.

Anti-slip, wear-resistant nano-fine coating

A stable grip with a smooth surface, whether your hands run dry or sweaty.

White dual-layer PTFE skates

Lower glide resistance so movement never stutters.

Ultra-fine, low-resistance paracord cable

Minimizes cable drag when playing wired.

How MagOptic switches combine optical and Hall effect sensing

MagOptic is a dual-mode switch. You choose Optical mode or Magnetic mode in the Keychron Launcher web app, and either way the trigger is contactless, so there is no bounce and the signal is cleaner. You get the durability of an optical switch and the adjustability of a magnetic one without giving up click feel. The full technical breakdown is on the Keychron MagOptic Switch page.

MagOptic switch, showing optical triggering and the Hall-sensing magnetic mode.

Familiar & crisp, non-contact

  • Works like a conventional optical mouse switch, fast and reliable
  • Non-contact triggering with a familiar, crisp click response
  • No metal contacts to wear, so the double-click fault never develops

Adjustable, clicky Hall sensing

  • Hall sensing keeps a crisp, clicky mechanical feel
  • Adjustable actuation point with Rapid Trigger support
  • Switch anytime in the Keychron Launcher web app

Optical or Magnetic

Pick the trigger style that fits your game and switch it in software.

No metal-contact wear

Trigger detection is contactless, so the double-click fault common on conventional switches cannot develop.

A cleaner trigger signal

In magnetic mode the metal leaf spring only provides the feel. Hall sensing does the triggering, which removes contact bounce and gives a cleaner, faster signal.

Stability by design

Stability isn't decided by one chip

  • nRF54LM20A main controller handles control and computation for the wireless link
  • RF, antenna and firmware give tri-mode BT 5.3, 2.4GHz and wired, with up to 8K on 2.4GHz and wired
  • Ultra-Link and Turbo-Link receivers manage power together with a 4.4V high-voltage battery
Anti-interference. In a crowded 2.4GHz test environment, run under the same conditions as several other flagship 8K mice, the G6 HE link stayed stable throughout.

Tactile steps · optical precision

Optical

In-game value

Stable, predictable input

Weapon swaps, browsing, and hotkeys all demand consistent scroll input.

Long lifespan. The optical encoder does not wear, so there is no reverse scrolling or skipped steps over time.

FAQ

Common questions about 8K polling, 42g weight and swappable batteries

Is 8K actually useful?
You notice it most with a high refresh monitor, a capable system and a game that supports it. In other setups the difference is small.
Isn't 42g too light?
Weight is personal. Players on low sensitivity, or those who aim with the arm, tend to feel the lower inertia most.
Why would I need a swappable battery?
It removes the stops for charging, which matters if you train for hours or stream.
What makes MagOptic (Optical + Hall Effect) different?
It combines near-mechanical tactility with 12-step triggering within 0.6 mm, independent left/right button adjustment, and Rapid Trigger.
How do I choose between the two versions?
If you want the lightest possible weight, choose the built-in battery version. If you want swappable batteries, tuning weights, and personalization, choose the swappable version.
