KARFA-hulzen zijn ontworpen om kabels en metalen / kunststof leidingen en ventilatietrunking te beschermen die door brandwerende plafonds, vloeren of muren gaan gemaakt van blokken, baksteen of beton en holle gipsplaten vloeren en muren. Ze zijn flexibel, waardoor samentrekking en uitzetting van waterleidingen mogelijk is en bescherming biedt tegen corrosie veroorzaakt door nauw contact met cement, cementblokken, pleisterwerk en andere corrosieve bouwmaterialen.
