In addition, it has a protective coating that protects it from friction buildup, rust, and height that extends the drill head's outstanding cutting life. The drill head is made using computer-controlled balancing to give it high centricity with perfect rotational symmetry for precise, smooth cuts. It is intended for milling small and very precise grooves in soft and hard solid wood and composite wood as well as in special materials such as solid surfaces. They are particularly suitable for milling narrow grooves, e.g., for notching and jointing.
