The Nissin Macro Flash MF18 is a flash system designed for taking close-up photos of smaller subjects using flash to eliminate shadows. When the MF18 is mounted on the camera, the basic flash exposure is fully controlled by the camera. This is roughly equivalent to using the camera's built-in flash, except that the flash is mounted in the camera's hot shoe and not built into the camera itself. The MF18 offers advanced flash features, including support for 1st curtain sync, rear curtain sync, and high-speed shutter sync.
