The filter is a so-called long-life carbon filter with an average lifespan of 24 months. The existing steel filter is replaced with this carbon filter, which thus functions as a hybrid filter. This means that the filter both filters out the fat, like a traditional metal filter, but in addition, odors from cooking are also effectively filtered out when the cooking oil passes through the filter's active carbon.

As something completely unique about this carbon filter, it can be washed in the dishwasher just like you are used to with your metal filter. This means that you can effectively clean the filter, instead of having to invest in a new carbon filter every 3 months.

In addition, the resistance through this filter is extremely low. In traditional carbon filters, you often experience that the noise level increases after installing a carbon filter in the hood. This is because the resistance through the filter is high. This results in a higher sound level at all stages of the hood, as well as a lower volume of air that is removed from the cooking zone. It provides a much more pleasant environment around cooking, as well as faster filtering of
